Meet the Board

Christina Francavilla Poler
President

Ms. Poler is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School in New York City, and of Smith College, with a B.A. in Italian and French Language and Literature. She has worked with various international organizations, including the United Nations’ International Labor Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, and the Wolong Nature Reserve in Sichuan, China. Throughout her career, she has held managerial roles in legal and professional fields. In addition to Smith, she has studied at both the University of Florence and the University of Geneva. She is an avid equestrian and proud mother of two children. As a founder of World Compass Academy, Ms. Poler strives to bring high academic achievement, an international focus, and a positive school culture to Douglas County.
 
Yanick Imhof
Vice President, Technology Coordinator

Mr. Imhof has extensive international experience with five years in Singapore, six years in Switzerland, and now residency in the U.S. He is an experienced Project and Program Manager with a strong technological background. Mr. Imhof is a native of Switzerland, and he received his engineering degree in micro-technology. Mr. Imhof relocated to the United States at the end of 2011 with his wife and daughter. The Imhof family is committed to high quality educational options in Douglas County.
 
Richard Levine
Treasurer

Mr. Levine is a partner with Synergy Financial Partners, where he works with individuals, families, and business owners in the areas of risk management, wealth creation, and wealth preservation. Mr. Levine specializes in helping Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association members maximize their retirement benefits. He holds the Certified Financial Planner ® (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations. Mr. Levine graduated from Emory University before attaining his MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business. With his wife, Morry, he has a 4 ½ year old daughter and 19 month old twins and values a strong education with an international focus.
 
Sabrina DeRamus
Secretary 
 

Mrs. DeRamus is a retired US Air Force veteran having served over 21 years on active duty. She has served in combat in Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan, and has a proven record of successfully making tough decisions for the benefit of the whole. After her retirement from the military, she served as the Budget Execution Officer for the Denver District Food and Drug Administration, and was responsible for all purchases as well as managing a $1.2M annual budget. She currently works for the Colorado Army National Guard as a Contract Specialist. Mrs. DeRamus has a B.A. in Business Administration and a M.A. in Federal Procurement and Acquisitions. Mrs. DeRamus has lived in Castle Rock since 2006, and is highly committed to building upon the strong educational foundation of World Compass Academy and surrounding community.

Adrian Tang
Lottery Coordinator

​Mr. Tang serves on the Lottery Committee for World Compass Academy. He is delighted to have the opportunity to be part of developing an excellent academic school for Douglas County that also teaches early foreign language to children. Adrian is in the telecommunication field with over 14 years' experience. He has extensive experience working effectively in cross-functional organizations nationally and internationally. He has strong leadership experience, analytical thinking and ability to work autonomously and achieve objectives. Working with big datasets has proven advantageous during the lottery process. Adrian is originally from Malaysia, moved to US at the end of 2005, and relocated to Colorado in 2012.
 
Brad Mundine
Board Member
 

Brad is a Vice President with Intuitive Captive Solutions where he and his team design, build and manage private insurance entities for middle market businesses. Brad’s current role has heavy emphasis in many disciplines including underwriting, business development, compliance and governance. Brad has spent the majority of his career with firms that focus on risk management and asset protection. Prior to his current role, he spent 12 years with a Madison, WI based financial services company that serves the banking space. Brad holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Regis University. Brad resides in Castle Rock with his wife and two children who are active at World Compass Academy. He and his family are deeply committed to supporting education in Douglas county.

Valeria Miller
Board Member
 

Valeria Miller is a graduate of Northwood University with a dual major in International Business and Management. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Colorado has been her home, with husband, Brendan, since 1999. Valeria has over fifteen years of pre-sales experience, providing technical consulting and sales support services for major software companies. She works hard to ensure things do not fall through the cracks, and follows up to ensure they are done properly and on time. Her two daughters attend World Compass Academy. 

Carol Elliott
Advisory Member

Ms. Elliott is interested in high quality public education that provides improved student achievement for all stakeholders. Qualifications include: Bachelor of Home Economics with a major in 1) Education and 2) Family Studies from Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, Nova Scotia; Bachelor of Education in Social Studies from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis on Educational Technology from Peru State, NE. Current certification includes Nebraska and Nova Scotia. Previous certifications include Manitoba, Maine, Florida and Colorado. Experience: Mrs. Elliott began her career in education over 35 years ago. She has taught Preschool - 12 and community college. Mrs. Elliott also spent three years home schooling a child struggling with reading to ensure her daughter was able to receive the highest quality education specifically designed for her needs. In addition, she has written and developed curriculum for Omaha Public Schools.
