Communication Updates for 2022

August: Learning new teachers, meeting new friends, reviewing our speech goals and setting times to work together will be our focus.  We'll get organized with temporal terms and systems. 

 

September: Introductions, asking questions, using good listening skills and generating more words to describe things will be a focus. We may have to juggle our schedules around school photos and as test results reshape our instruction. Parent/teacher conferences are an opportunity for communication about progress. 

 

October: Working on our presentation skills, longer conversations, detailed answers, reading our listeners and responding to them, solving misunderstandings along with supported classroom vocabulary will describe many of our sessions. We'll regroup after fall break with descriptions of activities and wishes.

 

November: As the holiday season gets close and fun events at school pick up we'll work on communication for conversations and language for assignments related to speech goals. 

 

December: Making specific requests, enjoying conversation, following complex directions with multiple steps, and celebrating accomplishments are great targets before we finish our 2022 year.
