About Miss JanieBeth
“There are lives I can imagine without children, but none of them have the same laughter and noise.”
Hello! My name is JanieBeth Jordan. I am originally from Minnesota, however, I grew up traveling very early in life. Having visited and explored 48 of the states, I always felt most at home in Colorado. After graduating from Luther College in Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Elementary Education, I did not hesitate to make the move to Colorado. In addition to traveling the United States, I have also visited 7 countries. Internationally my heart belongs to Chile, where I lived for 5 months while completing the study abroad portion of my Spanish major.
My two sons, Noah (11) and Drew (9), are the two loves of my life who keep me on my toes. My Littles, although they are not so “little” anymore, and I enjoy everything Colorado has to offer. We love to find new parks, swim, hike, ride horses, and do pretty much anything outdoors including catching snakes! When I have a moment to myself I can be seen reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing piano, traveling, snowboarding, running and line dancing.
My teaching career began in 2005 and includes a wide range of grades and content areas having taught anywhere from kindergarten to twelfth grade. During my seven years of teaching, I have taught in school districts, online schools, and private schools. I have a passion for teaching the younger grades as it is important to build a strong foundation as students begin their lifelong journey of learning.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year. I am excited not only to teach your children, but also to learn from them as well as they have so much to offer our classroom!
“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget the way you made them feel.”
