Teacher Bio

Welcome to 2nd grade! I am thrilled to have your child and you be a vital part in our classroom. I look forward to creating a warm, safe and inviting classroom for all learners!  I firmly believe in CREW where no one gets left behind.  We work together as a crew to succeed at all things in school.

 

I am originally from Texas, but moved to Colorado when I was 2.  So, I call myself a native because this is the only place I remember.  I grew up in Aurora, went to college at UNC (not the Carolina one) and started my career in Human Resources.  This is my 2nd year in 2nd grade and I can't wait to teach your precious cargo (see what I did there) 2nd grade math.

 

My family includes Haven (construction manager) and my 4 kids, Karis (21, manager at Planet Fitness), Kaylee (19, Sophomore @ UNL), Kami (17, Senior), and Weston (11, 6th grade).  I am super active in all my kids' activities including Volleyball (High School and Club) and Tackle Football. 

 

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, our kids and our "four legged kids", Penny, Lulu, and Vega (all dogs).  I also love watching and attending all things sports!  Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets, Mammoth, Nebraska Volleyball and Nebraska Football!
