Dear World Compass Families,

We are so excited for Field Days next week! These events are always a highlight of the school year, and we look forward to seeing our students enjoy the fun and friendly competition.

Currently, our dress code requires shorts be finger-tip length.  We understand that many students prefer to wear athletic shorts for comfort during sporting activities. However, many styles of athletic shorts are often shorter than fingertip length. With that in mind, for field day this year, we are allowing non-form-fitting athletic shorts as long as they provide full coverage during movement, including when running, jumping, or bending. Longer styles or compression-lined options tend to work best. 

For form-fitting athletic attire, including tights, leggings, bike shorts, other spandex shorts, or hosiery, please remember our dress code requires these be worn with a top or dress that is at least fingertip length.  If form-fitting shorts are worn as bottoms, as opposed to under a dress or skirt, please ensure these are finger-tip length as per the dress code. 

Please note that all other dress code guidelines remain in effect for field day including :

• Halter tops, bare midriffs, and see-through apparel are not permitted.

• Dresses and tops must have sleeves and backs.
