High School Information Sessions

Interested in learning more about your student's options for high school after 8th grade?

WCA welcomes many local high schools to our school for information sessions. These sessions inform students and parents on different options the high schools in our area offer. These sessions are recorded and published below along with the slide deck presentation from each high school.

8th grade students will be automatically enrolled in their districted high school for their 9th grade year. You can verify your student's districted high school here. Student who wish to attend a high school other than their districted school, must open enroll (public) or apply (private).

DCSD Open Enrollment Important Dates:

First Round Open Enrollment opens on November 3, 2025 8:00 am and closes on December 1, 2025 4:00pm.
Parents can see offers in the EngagED Parent Portal on December 11, 2025 at 8:00am and have until December 18, 2025 at 4:00 pm, to log back in and accept any open enrollment offers.
Second Round Open Enrollment runs from January 22, 2026 at 8:00am through August 3, 2026 at 4:00pm. If a student was put on the waitlist during the first round, they will still be on that list for the second round. Schools will ONLY reach out to families through email when and if a spot becomes available. Families must reply to those emails to accept the offer of enrollment.

CEC Castle Rock High School is a comprehensive, four-year public charter college preparatory high school. They offer students the opportunity to earn an associates degree while in high school. CEC blends high school and college in a rigorous yet supportive program, accelerating the time it takes to complete a high school diploma, the first two years of college, or a postsecondary certificate. All students must earn an associate degree, postsecondary or industry certification or 60+ college credits in addition to meeting the high school graduation requirements to be awarded a CEC diploma.
