Teacher Bio

My name is Alyssa Wright and this is my fifth year teaching at WCA. Before teaching, I worked as an archaeologist specializing in Utah and Colorado. My husband is a nurse at Denver Health Hospital and we have lived in Castle Rock for over 20 years. My son, John, is 22 and works as a local landscaper, my daughter, Kitty, is 20 and is studying nursing at UNC in Greeley, Emily is 14 and in 9th grade at DC, and finally, Caroline is almost 12 and is in 6th grade. We also have three doodle dogs and one black cat. I am a sucker for peanut butter, Diet Dr. Pepper, and all things vintage, especially Pyrex!
