Teacher Bio

My name is Danielle Bishop. This is my sixth year working at World Compass, and it's my second year teaching 2nd Grade. I am the Writing and Grammar teacher! My goal is to help students develop a love of writing (or at the very least, help them not to fear or dread it)! 

 

I was born and raised on the north side of Chicago. Yes, this means I am a big Cubs and Bears fan! Even after my family moved to the suburbs, I found my way back to the north side for college. After meeting my husband, I moved out to the western suburbs where we got married, bought a house, and welcomed our four children.

 

My family took a giant leap of faith, and moved to Colorado in 2018! I had never even been to Colorado before moving into a house site unseen! It has proved to be an amazing place to raise our children. Paul and I just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. We have four children, two high schoolers and two middle schoolers. Life is blissfully chaotic, and I wouldn't change a thing. We love our life in Castle Rock, and we have met some of the most wonderful people. Our family loves traveling to new places and exploring. Last year we took our first big international adventure and visited South Africa. We also enjoy hiking, going to restaurants together, watching movies, and playing games. 

 

As I'm sure your students will be able to tell you, I LOVE sparkles! I love all things Disney, too! I guess I'm kind of a big kid, when it comes down to it. 

 

I love working in education, and I am so thankful to be a part of the World Compass Academy Family. 2nd Grade is so much fun! I look forward to partnering with you to help your student grow and thrive!
