Welcome to my classroom website!

My name is Annie Maurice, and I’m delighted to be teaching Kindergarten and First Grade in the French Immersion program here at World Compass Academy.

I’ve been part of the WCA family since its founding in 2015, and it’s been a true joy to witness our students flourish as they embrace a new language and culture through immersion. Watching their confidence grow as they navigate French is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

A little about me: I was born and raised in Québec, Canada, where French is my native language. Sharing my heritage and cultural traditions with students is something I deeply value—it’s a privilege to bring a piece of Québec into our Colorado classrooms.

My family and I have called Colorado home, and we’re grateful every day to live in such a stunning and vibrant state. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll likely find me outdoors—hiking, running, biking, or kayaking—soaking up the natural beauty that surrounds us.
