Cultural Dress or Formal Uniform Day for Chinese New Year (NOT FREE DRESS- please see guidelines by opening this event for details)
When
2/9/2024

Cultural Celebration Days- On language celebration days (Hispanic Heritage, Chinese New Year, Mardi Gras), students may wear either traditional cultural costume reflecting the heritage(s) being celebrated or formal uniform.  Examples of traditional cultural costume could include the Hanfu, Cheongsam, or Folkloric dance dress. NO jeans, t-shirts, and sweatshirts, even if they include the language of the celebrated culture or are the contemporary clothing of the celebrated culture, will not be considered traditional cultural costumes. These informal clothing items are not permitted on cultural celebration days.  The goal is to honor and respect the cultures we are studying and learning about thus we increase formality of dress as a sign of respect for these cultures on these celebration days.
