Teacher Bio/Biografia de la Maestra

Hello! I’m Marlyn Seda, and I’m so happy to return to World Compass Academy for another year filled with joy, growth, and meaningful learning. For the 2025–2026 school year, I’ll be teaching K–1 Spanish Immersion, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue this beautiful journey with our youngest learners.

I hold a Master’s degree in Public Administration and bring a rich background in early childhood education. While working with the Early Learning Coalition of Seminole in Florida, I led teams across several campuses to ensure that children received the strong educational foundation they deserve. My heart has always been in helping children thrive through fun, engaging, and supportive learning environments.

I’m originally from Puerto Rico and lived in Central Florida for 26 years before moving to Castle Rock in July 2023. During my time in Florida, I stayed closely involved in community projects, including the Legacy Project with Leadership Seminole. Community connection is very important to me, and I’m grateful to be part of both the Castle Rock and WCA families.

My two daughters are graduates of the University of Central Florida. One continues her work in the arts, supporting adults with diverse abilities. I now live in the Crystal Valley neighborhood with my oldest daughter, her husband, and my two wonderful grandchildren, one entering 7th grade and the other beginning 4th grade here at WCA. We also share our home with our sweet service dog, Monroe Elizabeth.

I believe that when students feel seen, safe, and celebrated, they are more confident to take risks and grow, not only academically, but as kind and curious human beings.

I look forward to working closely with you to support your child’s learning journey. Please know that my door is always open!
