Sheffy Minnick

President

Sheffy Minnick brings over a decade of experience in strategic facilitation, organizational leadership, and community engagement, working with schools, nonprofits, and global organizations to build collaboration and trust across diverse groups. As the founder of Facilitation Station and co-author of Transforming Conflict and Collaboration, Sheffy helps teams and communities navigate complex challenges with clarity and creativity. She is also passionate about delivering keynotes on finding clarity in conflict and cross-cultural living. She and her family live in Castle Rock, where her three children attend WCA, and she is dedicated to supporting the school's mission to provide an excellent, globally-minded education for every student.

Tina Salinas

Vice-President

 

Cristina (Tina) Dimmitt-Salinas is a strategic education leader with more than a decade of experience spanning K–12 classrooms, state education policy, and higher education partnerships. She began her career as a high school science teacher, where she developed curriculum, mentored new teachers, and championed innovative practices to improve student learning.

She later served in several leadership roles at the Dept of Education in Illinois. In this capacity, she oversaw multi-million-dollar state and federal education programs, guided policy development, and collaborated with legislators, school districts, and higher education institutions to advance equity and accountability. Her work included governance support for charter schools and testimony before the Illinois General Assembly on critical education issues.

Currently, Tina is Managing Director and Vice President of University Partnerships at Risepoint, where she advises presidents, provosts, and senior executives on strategic growth. She leads multi-million-dollar initiatives that expand access to education and improve institutional outcomes nationwide.

 

Tina is a dedicated parent, deeply committed to ensuring access to opportunity for both students and educators through strong governance, innovative policy, equity-focused leadership and supportive school communities.

 

Patrick Brannan

Treasurer

Mr. Brannan is the Principal of BACI, LLC, a business and financial consulting company servicing small to medium size businesses and individuals with consulting, financial, accounting, and tax services. Patrick brings 40 years of financial experience to the Board. He has worked and lived throughout the world in Ghana, Tanzania, Senegal, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, and Australia. In addition to his financial background, Patrick has significant experience in strategic planning and team development. He received his BS degree in Accounting, Cum Laude from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA. Patrick has lived in Colorado since 1986 and has recently relocated to Castle Rock. His daughter Anastasia has attended language immersion schools since she was 3 years old. In addition to her native language of English, she is fluent in French and is learning Russian and Spanish.

Kasie Lesher

Kyle Glavan

Secretary

Mr. Glavan is the owner of Summit Engineering & Development LLC, specializing in product design, requirements & process development, and 3D printing. He has over 20 years of experience in product development, manufacturing, project management, mentoring, and team-building ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. He is passionate about coaching & mentoring others, and developing products that help others enhance their day-to-day lives. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute in Flint Michigan. Kyle, his wife & daughter in 9th grade have been residents of Colorado since 2015 and enjoy watching our daughter play youth sports, traveling, hiking, playing golf and exploring the outdoors.

Board Terms

According to World Compass Academy Bylaws, the number of directors of the School shall be comprised of not less than five (5) members and no more than nine (9), and the exact number of the Board shall be fixed from time to time as determined by the Board.

Each director seat is assigned a letter. Seats come up for renewal on the following schedule:

Board terms begin July 1 and end June 30. February of the year the seat is up for renewal the Director(s) occupying the seat completes the Board of Director's Intent to Return form.
