Dear Students and Families,

    Welcome to a brand new school year! I hope you all had a fun, restful, and memorable summer. I am so excited to begin this new journey with our students and families and look forward to all the learning, growth, and discoveries ahead.

    I have been teaching Mandarin at World Compass Academy since 2020, and these years have been some of the most joyful and fulfilling years of my teaching journey. I am deeply grateful for the warm, caring, and culturally rich community at WCA and for the wonderful students and families who make our school such a special place.

     This year, our K–1 students will begin a new adventure in Mandarin. Through songs, stories, games, movement, art, cultural activities, and everyday classroom experiences, students will develop Mandarin naturally while discovering the beauty and richness of the Chinese language and culture. I hope that learning Mandarin will open a new window to the world and help our students grow into confident, curious, and open-minded learners.

    Throughout the year, I will communicate regularly with updates, reminders, and ways you can support your child’s language learning at home. I believe that a strong partnership between school and home makes a meaningful difference in a child’s learning journey, and I look forward to working closely with you.
