Grade Level Important Information

1. Planners will come home daily. Make sure you check and sign your child’s planner daily. The planner will have your child’s homework assignment and behavior stamp in it. 
2. We use a behavior stamp system. 

Blue Stamp -Fantastic Day  

Green Stamp-Great Day

Orange Stamp-Challenging Day 

Red Stamp-Intervention Needed

1. We use a token reward system. Students earn tokens for exhibiting positive behavior. At the end of the week, students will be able to shop with their tokens. 
2. We encourage students to read every night. 
3. Students may have up to an average 40 minutes of homework each night.
4. Students will take assessments in Math, Reading, and Social Studies. 
5. Homework will come home in their orange folder and math workbook.
6. Students will bring home graded work in their purple folder on Friday. Please remove graded work and send the folder back on Monday.
7. Each Friday, students will write a letter to you telling you about their week. Please read and write a note back to your student and send the Friday Notebook back with your student on Monday. 
8. Our first class starts at 8:15. If your student is late, they will miss important instruction. 
9. We will have a morning snack and afternoon snack time.  All snacks must be nut-free.
10. The dress code is strictly enforced in 4th grade. Parents will be emailed or called when students are not following the dress code.
11. Watches with internet access/photo capabilities must be left in their backpack.
12. Cell phones must be kept in backpacks and be on silent mode. 
13. The 4th grade newsletter will be posted on the website. Make sure you subscribe to it. 
14. Do not send food for birthday celebrations.
