WCA is thrilled to announce that The Lightning Thief - The Percy Jackson Musical is coming to WCA spring of 2026!
Get ready for an epic adventure! Our middle school performing arts program is thrilled to present The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical this spring. Join Percy and his friends as they discover their powers, battle mythological monsters, and prove that heroes come in all ages. This high-energy musical brings Rick Riordan’s beloved story to the stage with humor, heart, and rock-style music performed by our incredible student cast!
Registration
REGISTRATION DEADLINE Monday, January 19, 2026
Program Fees:
- $300 – includes the cast t-shirt (no additional cost later).
- $150 – also includes the t-shirt. Stage crew students will help with prop building early on and tech rehearsals closer to the show.
Performance Dates
May 1st and May 2nd, 2026
Auditions:
- Main Cast Auditions begin Tuesday, January 20th
- Students interested in joining the ensemble only do NOT need to audition.

Eligibility Requirements
6th-8th Grade Students
- The student must have 70% or above in 4 of the 5 core classes (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language) to be eligible to practice or be in/at a game.
- If a student performing arts student has 2 or more grades below 70% (D+, D, D- or F) they are considered ineligible to rehearse or perform.
5th Grade Students
- The student must have 70% or above in 5 of the 6 core classes (ELA, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language) to be eligible to rehearse or perform
- If a student performing arts student has 2 or more grades below 70% (D+, D, D- or F) they are considered ineligible to rehearse or perform.
- If a student has late/missing work in any of their classes they must complete the late/missing work as soon as possible. The student cannot attend rehearsals and performances until eligibility is reinstated.
- The student must be in school for 3 ½ hours to be considered eligible to rehearse or perform.
- Student grades will be check once a week.
- If the performing arts student has two classes under the required 70% they will be considered ineligible the entire next week from performances and rehearsals.
- Please remember that your student is participating in a group event.
- Please try to schedule appointments and vacations around rehearsals as the group depends on them to be there.
