Teacher Bio
Welcome to Third Grade! I am your child's third grade math teacher. I am so excited for this school year. A little bit about me as a teacher:
- Teacher for 17 years
- Certified in Elementary Education and Special Education
- Taught Kindergarten, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grade throughout my career
- This is my fourth year teaching at WCA
- Math is my favorite subject to teach because I hated math as a kid and I want your child to enjoy learning math
- My belief is that every child should like math and know that they can be ‘good at math’
- I want your students to struggle a little too, there’s nothing like the feeling of success after you thought you couldn’t do it
A little about me as a person:
- Mother of five ages 22 to 16
- My twins are off to college next week, one daughter is attending CSU for Environmental Science and the other daughter is attending UNC for Nursing
- My husband is a Colorado Native which is why he moved us here four years ago from the Garden State - New Jersey (where we met)
- We love to travel and we love the outdoors, we ride a Harley and find that it’s such a great way to explore the state
- I love to cook, read, exercise and travel
- I use humor a lot in teaching. I believe school should be fun and your child should laugh and enjoy being in math class.
