Mr. Doerr is entering his 6th year as a school educator and 11th year as a performing arts educator, performing arts executive, clinician, and consultant. Mr. Doerr founded and directed a nationally touring performing arts nonprofit for 8 years, growing the organization from 15 students to over 450 auditioning performers in one year. His ensembles have performed in prestigious venues such as the Alamo Dome (San Antonio), Mile High Stadium (Denver), Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis), Jones AT&T Stadium (Lubbock), AT&T Stadium (Dallas), NRG Stadium (Houston), and he has even consulted for football bowl games for collaborative college band events at half time. Mr. Doerr has lived the WCA mantra of “Go Anywhere! Do Anything!” throughout his life and strives to impart that same experience and passion to his students. While directing the nonprofit organization, Mr. Doerr was responsible for assembling a team of 50+ highly qualified educators, volunteers, touring staff, health professionals, athletic trainers, and administrators each summer. In competitive settings, his ensembles have reached several state championships and the world championship class finals every season of attendance with continued and consistent progression in final scores year after year.

Mr. Doerr is proud to have taught students that have gone on to perform with “The President’s Own” Marine band, the house band for Saturday Night Live, and alongside Beyoncé live in concert. Mr. Doerr’s students have attended the University of Hawaii, Denver University, Western Colorado University, University of Colorado, Colorado State University, University of Northern Colorado, University of North Texas, UT-San Antonio, Metro State University, Texas Tech University, University of Texas, University of Houston, University of Alabama, Texas State University, University of Illinois, University of Michigan, Oberlin Conservatory, the Boston conservatory, the New England Conservatory, and many more to come. He is also humbled to have inspired students to become music educators, some of which have gone on to win state wind ensemble and marching band contests, Bands of America super regionals and nationals, and several other prestigious awards. As a consultant, Mr. Doerr has had the honor to work with programs across 15 states. Mr. Doerr has had the privilege to meet several world renowned artists including Chance the Rapper and Patrick Mahomes II (world renowned sports artist, aka the goat). Mr. Doerr strives to inspire students to chase their dreams wherever they may lead them and no matter how big they may be.
