Spring Semester Musical: Shrek Jr.

Cast: Two casts (Elementary School Cast, Middle School Cast)

5th grade students will do both Elementary and Middle School performances.

Many parts to be decided in rehearsal. ALL parts subject to change at any time for any reason. If your name is not listed, you are in the townsfolk cast. You can be assigned one of the unassigned parts as well.

Things to Remember:

-You do not have to attend every day of the club to be able to join.

-You can sign up for the main cast, supporting cast, and stage crew of the musical via the musical sign up link.

-To be considered for main cast you must audition. Sign up is outside of the music door.

Description:

Everyone who signs up gets a supporting part at a minimum! Auditions are only required if you’d like to be considered for a main cast role. Our spring musical is our feature production for the spring semester. Our spring musical is Shrek Jr. The WCA musicals are lots of fun and quite the spectacle! Stage crew members, kinder-2nd grade, and anyone wanting to join the chorus only simply sign up to join.

Schedule (Please refer to calendar to ensure we meet on a certain day):

Tuesday 4:00-5:30 PM: All Cast

Friday 7:00-7:45 AM: Kinder-2nd Cast

Friday 7:00-7:45 AM: Stage Crew

Friday 4:00-5:30 PM: All Cast

Rehearsal Types:

We have main cast, all cast, stage crew, and all cast and crew rehearsals. Main cast is only the main/character cast of the musical. All cast is the entire performing cast without stage crew. Stage crew is stage crew meeting only. All cast & crew is all participating performing cast and stage crew (everyone!).

30 Minutes: Choreography/Blocking

15 Minutes: Run through of larger sections with music/choreo/blocking
