It's how you live life when no one is looking.

I'm excited to celebrate my 11th year at World Compass Academy! For my first eight years at WCA, I’ve had the privilege of teaching first grade and kindergarten, and for the last three years, I’ve been dedicated to my role as a reading interventionist. Before joining WCA in its inaugural year, my journey in education included teaching various grade levels and providing interventions for students with dyslexia.

Helping students become better readers and discover books that spark their interest is truly fulfilling. I earned my national certification as a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) in 2009, providing systematic instruction to students with dyslexia in grades 1–8. I also hold certifications in the Multisensory Teaching Approach (MTA) and in the Scottish Rite Hospital reading intervention programs: Take Flight, BUILD, JET, and TURBO. These specialized programs further strengthen my ability to support students in developing their reading skills. Additionally, I earned my Master’s in Literacy in August 2020 for grades K-12.

I look forward to collaborating with you and your child to foster their reading growth and enthusiasm!

Sincerely,

Dawn C. Morris, MA, CALT
