Bio

Welcome to my site! Here is a little bit about me...I graduated cum laude from Vanguard University of Southern California with a BA in Liberal Studies. After completing my degree, I attended Azusa Pacific University, earning my K-8 Teaching Credential with a supplemental credential in teaching English K-12. Prior to teaching at World Compass Academy beginning in 2015, I worked for Claremont Unified School District in California for 7 years, where I taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades. While employed by Claremont Unified, I earned a certification in integrating technology in the classroom, and have served on technology committees, acting as a liaison between the school district and the school site. I have acted as a grade level team leader, as well as a mentor teacher for first year teachers.

When I am not teaching, you will find me at a baseball field with my two sons. My husband and I have been married for 17 years and we enjoy exploring beautiful Colorado with our little family.

Teaching is a passion of mine, and I love that everyday brings a new adventure. Even after 17 years of teaching, I still learn something new almost everyday from my students. Please feel free to email or stop by my office if you would like to chat!
