Bio
Hello Folks,
My name is Ms Linda Brown and I grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada. I lived in Maine for many years, where I raised my family and taught school. I have a B.A. in Psychology and a B.Ed. with an Elementary focus. I also have several classes towards a Masters in Social Work. I have taken many additional education courses about teaching reading and writing. I have taught a special needs preschool, elementary classrooms (Grades 3/4 combination class and 3rd grade), and elementary & middle school Title I, reading and math. I have coordinated Title I and Special Education Summer Schools in several school deparments in Maine.
I have two grown daughters Laura Elizabeth and Pamela Joyce. I home schooled them for a few years at the kindergarten and first grade levels. Laura went to university for many years and she is a Pharmacist today. Pam has taken courses toward a Behavioral Health degree and photography classes and she has three amazing children. My grankids are: Connor Lawrence aged 14; Ayva Lynn aged 11; and Natalia Ivanka who is 4 years old. They are a special joy! This will be my fifth year at World Compass Academy. I love teaching kids to read and I'm excited to be doing MTSS this year.
